Contributors of the 2005 intake of test bulls have been circulated with raw birth weight and calving ease data from the Spring 2006 Durham Central herd and Adair herd calving which is now complete.

The first of three phases of the progeny test, the "production" section measures gestation length, birth weight, sex of progeny, age of dam and calving ease.

The production phase EBV's from the 2005 DRD intake will appear in the Summer Group Breedplan report which will be released in early January and available to members on the Shorthorn Beef web site. The 2005 enrolment includes the high profile North American sire, Little Cedar Reno 301.
